FEDERAL AVIATION ADMINISTRATION CERTIFIES FILTRATION TO PROTECT ENGINES ON SIKORSKY S-61, H-3

LOUISVILLE, KENTUCKY — March 2, 2016 — Donaldson Aerospace & Defense, a subsidiary of Donaldson Company, Inc. (NYSE: DCI) announced today that its Universal Filter Module (UFM) has been certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) for installation and use on Sikorsky Aircraft S-61 and H-3 helicopters.

In an effort to ensure awareness and prevent potential ramifications to the rotorcraft industry, we’re making you aware of a proposed Inlet Barrier Filter (IBF) policy statement recently released by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) Rotorcraft Directorate in Fort Worth, TX. This policy could change how IBFs are certified and may negatively impact future development of these important engine protection systems.

DONALDSON H130T2 INLET BARRIER FILTERS EARN ANAC CERTIFICATION

NASHVILLE, TN — October 19, 2015 — Donaldson Aerospace & Defense’s Inlet Barrier Filters (IBFs) are helping operators of more than 275 Airbus Helicopters H130 and H125B3/B3e dual hydraulic aircraft protect their engines — and now, new certification from the Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC) has cleared the way for H130T2 operators in Brazil to realize the same benefits.

Fortuna, who assumed the key role July 20, is responsible for developing and executing the company’s global 2021 vision and strategy plans while leading Donaldson’s growing aerospace and defense business activities. Fortuna reports to Tom Scalf, Senior Vice President, Engine Products.
