DONALDSON SCAVENGE OIL FILTER ASSEMBLY SELECTED FOR ROLLS-ROYCE M250 SERIES IV ENHANCEMENT

LAS VEGAS, NV – MARCH 4, 2013 – Donaldson Aerospace & Defense, a division of Donaldson Company, Inc. (NYSE: DCI), has been selected by Rolls-Royce to provide oil filter assemblies for its enhancement of M250 Series IV turboshaft engines that power some of the world’s most widely used light helicopters.

Donaldson’s Scavenge Oil Filter Assembly is a key element of Rolls-Royce’s Dual Channel FADEC enhancement program for M250-C30 and -C47 engines. It will protect those powerplants from contaminants and enable them to operate at the higher performance and efficiency levels achievable with the full-authority digital engine control (FADEC).

Rolls-Royce M250 Series IV engines generate 650 to 700 shaft horsepower for helicopters such as the Bell Helicopter 407 and the MD Helicopters MD600N, which are widely used by individuals, businesses, emergency medical services and law enforcement agencies around the world. Also, the engine enhancement could be applied to M250 Series IV engines installed on U.S. Army/Bell OH-58 Kiowa Warriors, which provide life-saving protection and support for deployed U.S. and allied combat troops, and U.S. Special Operations Command /Boeing MH/AH-6 “Little Birds” that transport, protect and support U.S. special forces around the world.

Donaldson representatives will be available to discuss the Scavenge Oil Filter Assembly and other advanced filtration solutions at Booth N6001 during Heli-Expo 2013, being held March 4-7, 2013 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
