U.S. ARMY PICKS DONALDSON CLEAN FUEL CARTS TO FILTER DIESEL, GAS SUPPLIES FOR DEPLOYED TROOPS

WASHINGTON, D.C., October 21, 2013 – Donaldson Company, Inc. (NYSE: DCI) is meeting a new U.S. Army’s Rapid Equipping Force (REF) requirement to supply Clean Fuel Carts. Donaldson’s diesel and gasoline Clean Fuel Carts will help ensure American and coalition soldiers in the field have uncontaminated supplies of mission critical fuel.

The Rapid Equipping Force has ordered 17 Clean Fuel Carts to filter diesel fuel and 17 to filter gasoline, as well as spare filter elements. In addition to that order, the Army’s Test and Evaluation Command will be using Donaldson Clean Fuel Carts in upcoming field trials.

Headquartered at Fort Belvoir, Va., the Rapid Equipping Force (REF) harnesses current and emerging technologies to provide rapid solutions to meet urgent requirements of U.S. Army forces employed globally to defeat an adaptive enemy. “Donaldson has a long history of providing advanced filtration solutions to help our customers complete the most challenging missions safely and reliably,” said Steve Moon, Director of Defense at Donaldson. “We’re honored to be selected to further support deployed American soldiers with our Clean Fuel Carts.”

Donaldson will be displaying the Clean Fuel Cart and its other advanced filtration solutions during the Association of the U.S. Army’s 2013 Annual Meeting and Exposition Oct. 21-23, 2013 in Booth 3443 in Washington, D.C.’s Walter E. Washington Convention Center.

Donaldson Clean Fuel Carts are portable, self-contained filtration units suitable for mobile applications, for complete “drop-in” requirements and for workshop or in-plant applications. Their standard high-efficiency particulate media provides clean fuel to ISO Standards 14/13/11 or better in a single pass or through kidney-looped filtration, while their standard water-absorbing media removes free water to provide dry fuel. Other features include spin-on filter elements which can be replaced quickly with no additional tools and differential pressure indicators which show when to replace filters.
